HPP Biz
HPP Board (or people claiming that authority) is still asking for a County Park:

http://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/news...-park-plan

Ilagan said the council already allocated $300,000 for planning and design and he is hopeful it could consider accepting the property at 26th Avenue and Kaloli Drive as early as next month.

County Code prohibits spending money on infrastructure in "private" subdivisions, so at least everyone is acting consistently with the above-described Board behavior.

The board sent a letter last summer in support of deeding a 20-acre parcel to the county if it builds a park there.

Hmm... last summer...

July's mtg show some of the board in a bad light so maybe that's why????

I'm sure the timing is just a coincidence.

_______________

If it's a coincidence then why are all the other minutes posted that preceded it and why has August's been posted? July's minutes were approved months ago. This is intentional, just like the excuses and reasons to not release financial information that financial committee members have asked for some time ago. All members are privy to this information.

If there's nothing to hide, all HPP biz would be done in a timely manner and information released w/out resistance. The audit has to do with what has occurred over the past year that they've been managing HPP, which includes the time frame of having an interim GM and interim Treasurer. I really don't think they anticipated that a handful of members would be this observant, knowledgeable and insistent on accountability and a few of them are turning up the heat now.

A petition was in the office recently that involved the business of chip seal. Perhaps this has opened the door for other petitions to use this venue, even a recall petition. But it prob has to be approved first by a cpl board members to ensure it's in alignment w/their agenda.

It will take another membership mtg and membership vote to change the motion. The petition's signatures won't count as votes. An attempt was made at the membership mtg to alter the motion after it passed and it failed so now we have this petition. Who approved using the ofc for a petition, and who's petition is this?

Board mtg this Wednesday at 6 PM. The agenda isn't up yet. We still don't have a 9th board member in almost 3 months. Maybe this is the mtg it'll happen. The treasurer stated to other members that the board will discuss important financial information at this board mtg. Your attendance would be appreciated.

Same old: County and State both do "the people's business" this way -- perhaps we've mostly been conditioned to accept that, and be happy we get anything at all.

Incompetence is a far more prevalent human trait than conspiracy.

The incompetence theory only goes so far. That's what some of us thought the first cpl months of their tenure 2014-2015.

To believe it's all about incompetence, would mean that the "Dr's" claims of them being "smart, well educated and experienced in mgmt" aren't true. Interestingly, usage of "Dr" preceding the VP's name everywhere started in Oct 2014 per our minutes and every and any HPP document.

A staunch supporter has stated they are the smartest board we've ever had and that these board members have to contend with the other idiots on the board. Yes, someone actually said this.

I just spoke with a member of the Finance Committee who just stopped at the office to pick up copies of the financials in advance of the BOD meeting on Wed. Denied! The person was told by the new bookkeeper that she would have to contact Janice (the Treasurer) and get permission. What? The bookkeeper then called but couldn't get though to Janice. The bookkeeper was asked if the reports had been printed out for the director's meeting, and they were, they were posted to the director's inboxes. The person said to the bookkeeper that that's all "I need". But, was refused without permission from Janice.
It looks like to me these office people need to know they don't work for the BOD or any individual BOD director i.e. the Treasurer or VP. They work for the GM, why isn't he handling these issues (that's a rhetorical question)? Things here are beyond asking or commenting whether these 2 directors are incompetent. It is obvious now they are hiding something. This is not just about being "control freaks", although they are, these actions should have every HPP member very concerned.
One more thing, there is a new admin person in the office. Someone tell me how she was hired if there was no BOD executive meeting in which to carry out this kind of personnel decision? Wouldn't that be the normal procedure?

Because first, they're unwilling to let go of the power and entitlement they think they have over HPP biz which they've had since July 2014. Secondly these admin type of responsibilities have been written out of the GM's job descript by the VP. He may be unqualified to do what our bylaws say is the GM's job.

Are you sure there's a new admin person? There's been 2 ladies who've been hired within the past month or more. An ofc admin type position and a bookkeeper. That gives us a total of 3 female employees. I believe the hiring for the 2 ladies was done in an exec session.

The missing minutes was just a data entry error that I pointed out to the webmaster and it has now been corrected.

No huge conspiracy !

The meeting agenda that has been claimed as not being posted has been there since the 13th.

Come down to Vacationland .Our main entrance road,Kapoho Kai, is constructed of chip and seal over a red cinder base.It was never paved with blacktop.
