I really don't want to pay $100 "Mandatory" Road Maintenance Assessment this time. Because of what's going on now... I can't trust!
What are they gonna do if I don pay? In the statement they say they will charge 12% late fees next time. Are they really gonna charge me that? Can they even have power to charge interests?
I would like to start paying again when all the problems are solved.
Right now I'm not sure who or which to trust.

The various Puna subdivisions offer many fee options; freedom of choice is what makes America great.

I know that they can get the 12% from you one way or the other probably best to pay and not worry about it I just keep your record . They have been doing a good job on the roads though so probably better to pay

We just pay the fee's and keep records .
Finally after 7 years they dropped gravel in all the big and small holes and even some washed out hill areas.
Well worth the 100$ as our whole street has been doing it ourselves with pick up truck loads of rock from our own pockets .We also weed eat and mow the sides and empty the drainage's our own selves .
100$ is nothing compared to other subdivisions .

I contacted the president of OLCA and he informed me that they were going to give all delinquent accounts to a collection agency . So if you don't pay it will ruin your credit rating . That makes your insurances all increase because you go to a different level . I believe it is better to just pay up .

"they were going to give all delinquent accounts to a collection agency"
Good luck finding a collection agency willing to break the law.
"That makes your insurances all increase because you go to a different level."
It's illegal in Hawaii to use credit scoring to set car or homeowner's insurance rates. It's one of the reasons USAA insurance is more expensive here. We all pay the low-credit score rate regardless of how high your score is.
Let's hear some more fear mongering from this board. According to the last 2 newsletters families will get evicted from their homes and road fees will go up 10x if we go into receivership.

Many years ago OLCA enlisted the services of a collection agency. When the agency discovered how shaky the legal foundation was, they backed out. Nothing has changed in the structure of OLCA since then, so I would expect a similar outcome this time around.

Terrecore especially and a few others continue to support the fako representation by their claims they cannot tell who is the real board and thereby do disservice to our community. It is very simple. Go here:
