OK, get out your protective gear and elixirs, whatever they might be.  The X-37B is back, relatively bright but also when the sky is not completely dark so I’m not sure how visible tonight.  But that’s generally the point of top secret devices isn’t it? For your eyes only Mr. Bond:

That'd be the time-warp sweep the observatories do every few hours because if we don't do carry out that sweep, GPS satellites tend to go into warp mode. Sorry about that. Time and space should recover and you post should now be in place.

Between May 8, and 9th, the Chinese rocket  booster will be dropping down to Earth in an uncontrolled re-entry.
Should be quit a light show if the timing is right.

I don’t see any passes for the CZ-5B rocket body over Hawaii in the next few days, which is a good sign.  It’s orbit does fluctuate though, which is why the reentry date, time, and location can’t be pinpointed in advance.

The Chinese space station module launched by the CZ-5B will pass over Hawaii for a few days beginning on May 10th.  I’ll post the times, rising & setting in the sky when we get closer to its appearance.  At this time their space station is unmanned.

The CZ-5B rocket body has two passes near Hawaii today, and one tomorrow, both relatively low on the horizon.  If it did reenter the atmosphere at those locations it would be hundreds of miles away from the islands.

It’s down, according to the Chinese space agency.  Enjoy the Puna sky this evening, which isn’t falling:

Anyone in the Maldives may have had a light show a few hours ago although it may have been early-morning daylight there, so possibly not visible. It was interesting watching different organizations claiming where it would come down and not getting it right.
