If prices keep going up, local agriculture may become competitive again!
Nah, unless we start making our own, we'll always be hamstrung by the price of fertilizer..

Ho Brah, you gave me one idea. No need fertilizer. Carbon neutral solution to multiple problems.
No more SPAM but choke pigs. We can make our own Big Island SPAM-like Product! Hmmm what to call it.... 
We can name it:
“MAᑫƧ” In the mirror, the name will spell SPAM

"BANG". The can will be taller than a regular SPAM can (lifted) but come with some dents and rust. Behind the name will be the picture of a boar in a truck bed.
We make plenty of fertilizer on this island, just gotta follow the politicians around... Seriously though, I wonder if human waste could be safely processed into fertilizer? Obie, don't be afraid of a little night soil! It could be treated to kill diseases. I don't think all the pharmaceuticals can be removed, but hey, free pharmaceuticals!
