Not at all and that is very sweet of you to say. That was a major brain fart on my part as I have had numerous and substantial dealings with Henry so I am glad you corrected me. We are really fortunate to have him in Pahoa.
I wish you all the best.

Thank you, girls! I will take my old laptop and go see Henry! And I won't have to go all the way to Hilo

I'd be sure to mention that many (or all?) of the shows are On Demand on their website (which means you can watch them whenever you want.) Not quite sure on the insistence on trying to make a local copy (unless you need to watch them when you have no internet? Or there is some specific show that they only stream?)
Regardless, it'll be easier to make a copy from the On Demand section than trying to catch the streamed show, although an "old laptop" may not be up to the task regardless.
It just helps IT folks figure out best solutions when they have the full context of the request.

Ironyak,
Please help me if you can. I'm not ashamed to say that I've been a PBR (professional bull riding) fan for 24 years. Last month, the PBR went to Merit Street Media and now only have highlight shows on cable. As far as I can tell, the PBR events, which are on every week-end and are 9 hours long altogether, are only being streamed live. So I have to watch them when they're on and it's not fun for me to have to take up 3 afternoons watching the streaming. I'm used to recording them from CBS sports network on cable and then watching them in the evenings during the week when it's convenient. Maybe you could look at Merit St. again and see if you find any PBR events On Demand on the site? I've emailed Merit Media many times but I never get an answer. Hilo Spectrum doesn't know when or if they're going to get Merit Street on cable. Thank you.

Thanks - the extra details are very helpful!
Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is actually split across several services - CBS, TUDN, PlutoTV, and Merit Street. So you may be able to get some PBR content on CBS or CBS Sports via Spectrum or Spectrum On Demand (don't have Spectrum so I can't help there).
https://pbr.com/watch
However, it also looks like Merit Street has some of their PBR content On Demand on Merit+.
You'll need to Sign Up for an account - just an email and password, then click the Sports link at the top of the page.

Looks like whole days are available - e.g. 2024 Duluth Day One
https://www.meritplus.com/m/KAhFjor2/pbr-teams-2024-duluth-day-1?r=ok5bikOE&play=1
PlutoTV is also free, has a whole PBR Channel, including coverage for some of the upcoming events. (no login required)
https://pluto.tv/us/live-tv/60d39387706fe50007fda8e8
PlutoTV also has some On Demand PBR content such as:
https://pluto.tv/us/search/details/serie...3Dhomepage
If you're still not finding the PBR events you're after, then you'll want to look at OBS or another screen capturing software to record the live streams, but nine hours of video will take up a lot of hard drive space (~20 gigs roughly depending on settings) so there are some technical challenges involved with recording such large amounts of content.
Hope that helps - let us know how it goes or if there is something specific you're after but not able to find.

I use "Extreme Download Manager" (free) browser extension to download streaming video into a video file to watch later. It can download a 2 hour movie in about a minute (on a fast connection) because it downloads several segments of the stream simultaneously. I use it primarily to put the video on a thumb drive so I can watch it on our flat screen in the living room rather than on a computer. It also allows for the video to be saved or converted to specific formats and to adjust things like audio levels if one needs more advanced features. It can also be used to download regular (very large) files quickly using the same technique of multi-threaded downloading.
It's pretty intuitive for people who are tech savvy, but others might struggle with using it.
