I didn't notice the ru. The Shopper survey is an ru site too with the orange Home depot logo but on a diagonal. Looks like I have a lot to learn on malwarebytes. This is the response I got from American Savings
"We have researched this claim and the merchant has an authorization on file for this transaction. Therefore no error was found. Per VISA requirements you must attempt to resolve this matter directly with VEHICLECAMCOM before we can get involved. As a result our investigation is completed and this case is closed."

If you can use a credit card for internet purchases instead of a debit card, you'd have better luck getting your money back by filing a claim. Even on ebay I always use a credit card. The one or two times the seller didn't send an item as listed I got my money back with one submission to my credit card company. Once I used ebay's buyer-seller dispute system and it was an endless labyrinth that went on for months, with about 10 claims and counterclaims.
Looks like the Nigerian Prince has now moved to Russia?

Another good thing about the Big Island. Don't need the Colonial pipeline. I'm thinking insulating me from these issues is all I have are 4 Amazon tablets with a different system from the duopoly though not too many apps?

Classic case of the "it looks like the real site" scam...
ALWAYS check over the URL. Many of the "tinyurl" names will go to these fake site. Always go straight to the official site, yourself.

The Amazon tablets actually run Android, although it is a specialized version that Amazon developed. It is not too difficult to hack them so that you can install any Google Play app as well as Chrome or Firefox browser. That will avoid using the built-in, crappy browser that Amazon wants you to use which tracks every single thing you do.

With respect to rogue sites, you can try plopping the url into virustotal.

Learned about this on reddit,

Sadly, on the world wide web, distrust, followed by verify is a method for safe surfing.

Use MalwareBytes - full paid version. It has saved me several times even though I am a supposedly professional security engineer... and should have spotted the scam...
