I thought "around here" meant Puna. There are quite a few once one leaves The Shire.
Bringing this full circle, I would like to wish a Happy New Year to all Punatics be they Furry, CIS, 2SLGBTQIAY+, and Furry Curious especially the foxes.
"Oh, you want Puna-vators?
We have plenty lifts on the back of delivery trucks. Smell the tradewinds as you go up, when you go back down…"
Along with a complementary blast of diesel exhaust!
The Pahoa, Keaau and Kamehameha Schools all have elevators too!

And Happy New Year to you too!
I am impressed with your knowledge of the Furry Music scene!

Um, I am a Tang. Because in the past you have seemed to be an ally, I am going to overlook your insensitivity to our underrepresented aquatic community. We are often marginalized and frequently lumped in with "scalies" and "furmaids" but this is ignorance. While we may have our own unique school, fishies are the cool kids in the fandom. Have fun; be yourself.

Whoa whoa whoa there PunaTang!
My comment was solely meant as a compliment in each and every aspect and never was intended to be insensitive to you or anyone else.
And yes, always have fun and always be yourself!
Happy New Year to you and all the other Tangs out there!
Your apology is appreciated and in the spirit of New Years it is accepted. Let's please try to be more mindful of our microaggressions in 2025 and beyond.

"Happy New Year."
Why yes, being mindful of our microaggressions in 2025 and in fact at any time, I am happy to apologize for my complement to you and I'm glad you have accepted my apology for my complement!
And in the spirit of the New Year, I would like to offer this song, going on 54 years old, that although it was officially released in October of 1971, this video actually premiered on the old Dick Cavett show, ironically on September 11, 1971:
