Roads Are Easements Not Planned Communities Or HOAs
And I should do that, why?

You have for the last 40 pages.
But now you draw the line?

Edge, she's left it all on the field.  It's been an impressive run.  We are all better for knowing more about HPP than we ever thought possible.  Now she wants us all to do our own research and she's right.  100% right.  Let's all let her rest now and focus on her many other interests.

Thank you Patricia.  Aloha.  A hui ho.
I wish you all the best.

My, my, the ugly is really coming out in some of you.

If M2 wants to "edit" my comments (I guess talking about watching a movie with my mother is breaking the rules) or take out any info they do not like (from my posts or yours) then who is to stop them?

You half a dozen PW "commentators" are not everyone. You are just the loudest. No one is twisting your arm to contribute to this post.

Perfect, can you read that and understand that no one is twisting your arm, in fact more and more are suggesting we've heard enough and maybe it would be best to leave us alone !

OK then Patricia. I have a legitimate bona fide question, that I'd really like to hear your specific answer to.

To be clear, I am not needing any form of rehash of the last 40 pages of this thread or all the other threads, but just a simple written response to this question:

With all your seemingly endless research and knowledge of what HPP was, currently is and in the future should be, and I do see that you do have 50 maybe 60 people who truly support you and agree with you, but why have you not run, with a few of your most ardent supporters for seats on the HPPOA Board of Directors?

I admit, sitting back and criticizing everything (and for some, suing) that the past and current Board is doing is quite an easy out versus rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty with the real work.

So, in that light, why don't you and a few of your supporters run, and if there are enough HPP eligible voting members who vote to get you and your supporters elected, then it's all yours "baby!"

But then if you don't get elected, that does say something now, wouldn't it?

At any event, I really am interested in hearing your answer!

Here's that Conch that you claim is the 1st although It's the 2nd.

That’s never been edited out. See #216 page 22.
None of your comments on this thread have been edited. The only edits on your posts have been to shorten the quotes from other people that you replied to. Your comments have not been edited, unless they were included as a lengthy quote in a comment posted by another user.

Seriously? Like I have never been asked or answered this question before.

Once more...

But before I answer your question (a question I have already answered) let me make this clear:

I have been VERY involved in HPPOA- put in A LOT of time and "rolled up my sleeves" on MANY occasions  I have worked on and chaired committees, attended meetings, put together agendas, chaired owner/member meetings, acted as a liason between the board, the County and others regarding owner/member issues. I have done research for the board. I have donated, A LOT of time, money, and personal resources. The list of "sleeve rolling" is EXTENSIVE.

However, at this time, I will not involve myself with a board that does not believe in following rules and law and, because of this, has managed to land themselves in several lawsuits.

At this time, I am free to offer my research, time, and personal resources, etc., to whomever I choose. I am not in any way obligated to the HPPOA board. And the board can not tell me what I can and can not do. Which at this time would be exactly what would happen.

Thank you, M2. I can understand the reasoning for doing that. Though sometimes, depending on what has been edited, the conversations can become confusing. Context means a lot.

Appreciate your response.

Well, while not specifically answering my question, I understand what you're saying, but my point being why fight the Board when you could, with enough votes, BE the Board?

At any event, you could just use the quote, often attributed to LBJ, but really from William Tecumseh Sherman:

"If nominated I will not run; if elected I will not serve."

A "Shermanesque" response, yes.

But even Sherman explained why- in a letter to Lincoln. And if true, Lincoln asked Sherman for his permission to print his letter (reasons) in the newspaper. However, Sherman declined, stating he had already taken too much flak from newspaper men.
