Introduce yourself
Heather...thanks for the warm welcome.Terry, I went to the meeting but didn't see you. Anyway great to know you will soon be saying goodbye to our neighborhood and saying hello to the B.I. I was hoping I could get you to twist Tom's arm into moving over quicker than our planned 3 to 5 year plan. I just want to unload our property and begin the journey. Hope all is well with you.

Andy- the Haolequeen (Terry) is going to pm you. Don't believe what she says about me.

Hi Heather,
I will email you a more lengthy reply. That is awesome that you learned how to weave from your grandmother. It's a wonderful art to do.

Very Sweet, Heather. Good to hear the excitement you have. Keep posting and asking, asking, asking...that's what got us here more quickly. The people on this forum are great.

Hi Rob,

Thank you. I only read your post on this thread right now. I really appreciate you letting me be a little chatter box and I am really sorry if I offend people butI hope we all can get educated so we can live in the same neighborhood. Thanks Rob. That really means alot to me and is very much not taken as a grain of salt.

Aloha everyone, I’m Crizzy and I just moved to Puna from Hilo with my hubby. I’m originally from Washington, DC but have been on the island since ’89. I’m delighted to have found the Punaweb several months ago; it has proven to be a well-spring of information and resources. We have decided to build our house using Castleblock’s rastra material. Rastra is rated to withstand an 8.3 earthquake, which was the selling feature for me. With the help of Rob Tucker, Castleblock’s island rep, we just ordered about 300 rastra blocks to construct my dream house/first house. We anticipate receiving our order in 12 weeks. How exciting! Nice to meet you all.
Aloha,
Crizzy

Just wanted to say Hi to Crizzy, & I noticed that this thread was the second to last, so am bringing it forward for all of the newer Punaweb posters.

Aloha everyone,
My name is Agnes and I'm moving to Puna with my husband Victor and 5 furry family members next year. We recently bought the house on 5th Ave in HPP and are coming in 4 weeks to visit. My husband is an enviromental technician currently working as CDL`A driver and I will be your new veterinarian. We live in small town in Illinois but most of our life in US we spent in Chicago. We are both Polish ( born and raised in Europe), tri-lingual, and love Hawaii. We are advanced scuba divers, my husband is a divemaster, and we've worked for 4 years at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago diving with marine mammals. I was very suprised to see many people from Chicago area moving to Hawaii, it's great!
I hope to see many of you in May during Hilo dive club "dive Sunday". Thanks for all great information, we found on this forum you shared with others.
