A free/libre internet is still possible with enough effort, but really have to step off the beaten path these days, roads diverging making all the difference, and all that old-time self-reliance, DIY, and independence stuff that often finds a home in Puna.

You’ve always been mean, and imbalanced. You’ve run off countless people here, and you relish it. But Tom, things are getting worse, way worse, and I honestly think you are showing signs of losing it brother. You are no longer rational. Fine, but it's not the first time you've posted that. If you find engaging with me isn't healthy, then stop doing so, and stop making up stuff about what I post because you know I will respond. Maybe Rob will stop me from doing that; he edits my posts, but leaves yours alone, so I suspect I'm arguing with less-than-rational people who don't like their deeply held beliefs questioned. However, we live in a society where pointing out nonsense is allowed. Rob can delete or edit this post if he wants; it's saved, so it will come back at some point. If it is edited or deleted, you'll know that the expression of free ideas and knowledge is not welcome here.

In any case, MyManao based his rant on what I posted on the hurricane thread the other day. I didn't post anything there the other day. He's had enough time to correct it, but he hasn't. It's a lie or he's hallucinating.

I wouldn't go as far as that. I just think that Rob is not used to having someone question his views, and it's unfortunate that they happen to coincide with MyManao's ridiculous claims. Both seem to believe in a supernatural being, and both are trying their best to avoid answering difficult questions. Rob does it by editing one of my posts, and MyManao simply makes things up, which Rob seems happy about. I've made no claims about socialist or communist liberals; that's your business, and good luck with that, because I want no part of that argument. It's much easier to show that other posters believe in the supernatural.

The word you're looking for is solidarity, and it shows up in both political and religious traditions. Not sure there's a lot of Punawebbers calling for workers seizing the means of production (more's the pity) but thinking Rob's moderation is because he's part of some cult is quite the take.

Could you point out where the big bad commies called you names? Wouldn't want to miss out on any useful descriptors for future inclusion.
