Flock cameras
#31
All data captured by any one Flock camera, inclusive of license plate is legally owned by the subscriber/owner of the camera that captured that data. So, if Hawaii County Police own and have subscribed with Flock Safety, Hawaii County Police own any and all such data. I would think that if this is true, Chief Reed would have the proper safeguards in place as to who can access that data.

As for those who think that the rule of law is being naive, I'd have to say that you have been corrupted by the very conspiracy theorists you love to rail against. If the people are against Flock Cameras, elect the people who will do something about it.

How many needless deaths would be enough to move the needle for you?  Where is the empathy?

So that’s the criteria, lives that could be saved even if it interferes with someone’s freedom?  I can think of a way that will save 30,00O+ needless deaths in America every year.  How does that compare to the keiki and tutu total which I don't believe you have yet posted?

So much hate speech & conspiracy theories about freedumbs.

I’m curious.  What comments do you consider hate speech?
Which are conspiracy theories?  Please don’t include known functions of the cameras or existing constitutional rights.

How many cameras would be required to locate lost tutus in residential areas on Big Island?  If scrubs know there are cameras on busy streets, wouldn’t they drive on side roads?  How many cameras to find the criminals on side streets? What would it cost to wire Hilo to accomplish what you say these cameras would accomplish?

You should do standup... I'd say cartoons too, but hey..

And, unfortunately, your schtick falls flat.. though I'l admit that "legally owned by" line did get a laugh..

Speaking of schtick's falling flat, then, by your measure, it's perfectly OK for me to walk onto your legally owned land and take it. Your car? Your bank accounts?

Oh yeah - "rule of law!!!"

You'd be dangerous if you ever knew anything about what you're talking about. What was all those postings about your laborious work with attorneys for a patent all about then? Why do you need a patent if "legal ownership" means nothing?

Instead of spending your day bickering on the net about Flock cameras, why donʻt you go volunteer to help the many people who are NOT online and need help.
Certainty will be the death of us.

I've seen some videos on YouTube where anonymous people wearing concealing clothing/masks are destroying the flock cams. And other videos where people were able to hack into the system and spy on people.
Seems Big Brother is asleep at the wheel.

Many articles today about the negative perceptions of Flock.  Their CEO even attempted damage control with this comment:

“How do we have our safety, and how do we balance privacy?”

The protests are working. But how do we know they’ll use data the way they say they’ll use data?

Even Darth Vader came out in support of the technology, says The Emporer is a fan:

Which "they" are we talking about now?

Which "they" are we talking about now?

“Flock”
“Their CEO”
“The protests”

Gotta be one of them.  There’s no other subject. (Darth Vader came after the comment)
