I got my last deed so long after I bought the property, I was all, what's this? Oh yeah.
It doesn't really matter. What matters is that your purchase recorded, and escrow tells you that. I have never had any use whatsoever for my actual Grant Deed. Got it, took it out of envelope, put it back in envelope, filed it, end of story.
