Looking for a Pool Builder
#5
When you described your 150' lava ledge it reminded me of Queens Bath in Kalapana. Pele reclaimed the pond back in the 1980's. I always wanted to recreate something like that. I found a couple of photos on the web: http://pubs.usgs.gov/dds/dds-80/images/J...FT_041.jpg the first one shows the pond and the second is the pond filling with lava. http://pubs.usgs.gov/dds/dds-80/images/J...FT_042.jpg What a shame, me and my family loved swimming there. It would be a fun pool to try and recreate though.

Yes, we have put decorative finishes on our tanks but unless you want to spend a bundle of money the tank should be a simple cylinder shape. I have always loved these Thai water jars http://rainwater.in/images/THA-jars-01.jpg and would love to make a large one from ferrocement. It wouldn't be cheap though.
