unmarked police cars

In Los Angeles, before we left, they were phasing in NEW police cars that had internal lights rather than the familiar lights on top. And when we got here, we quickly realized that the County of Hawaii allowed the officers here to use their POVs on duty. We assumed it was a budget issue. No big deal. And it has been my experience that every state in the union fields unmarked police cars for traffic duty, as well as marked cars. Don't break the law and you should not have a problem. Also... I wouldn't bring it up normally but it happened twice in this thread... The word is "impersonate" people...
