Legalize cannabis and all this goes away tomorrow. (Except of course, people smoking and then DRIVING HOME ... <emphasis courtesy of mdd>... however, I suppose that is only as horrible as all those folks out there who have a quick drink after work and then DRIVE HOME.) And Bob, I think you missed the point KeaauRich was trying to make: if the police cause more of a ruckus enforcing a law than the "criminal" caused by violating the law, how is society on our little island served? I believe KeaauRich was suggesting that, in fact, it is not served at all. Smoking pot just doesn't hurt anybody but the person smoking... why is it still illegal? I don't smoke, but I am offended at the enormous effort and resources spent by government at all levels to enforce these silly laws of a bygone era; the supposed danger of the deleterious activity at issue having been discredited by science overwhelmingly and often. When will the charade end?
