I'm Anna and joined this group prior to my move to Big Island 5 years ago (or just after the move, don't recall now). Initially my significant other and I moved to Hawaiian Acres. Lived there on 6 acres for 2 years on road 11 between B and C. Enjoyed a lovely 3 acre orchard always filled to the brim with wondrous fruit. He and I moved to Puna Beach Palisades between Kehena Beach and Seaview Estates in July 2007. And, I moved out on my own to Seaview Estates last October.
I love it down here (and have never met an ice head nor a thief, btw) and would like to stay. It feels like home to me. I'm renting a lovely place right now with an ocean view and a cool breeze and the living is easy, quiet and full of beauty. I love the sense of community here and can't imagine living elsewhere, for now.
I'm a property manager and manage 3 long term rentals. I also have my real estate license, representing buyers who wish to find property here. But that's my day job My life's work is to whale watch, snorkel, commune with sea turtles, breathe in the cleanest air on Earth and give thanks every day when I wake up and remember that I live in this place of incredible beauty and intense energy.
Aloha to you all. I didn't think it possible that I could ever live on this island that called to me when I visited in 2003 for the first time. Yet 2 short years later, my life rearranged and the opportunity presented itself. Interesting how we manifest exactly what we need and want in our lives.
Mahalo, Rob, for Punaweb Forum where we can learn how to live in paradise and share our experience with others who want the same.
