Sometimes I find myself watching live TV and push the fast forward button, forgetting that it's live. I can't think of anything that's changed the experience of television as much as this device. I love that it's smart enough to find programs that are on at hours that I would never watch TV and records them. Instead of asking what's on tonight, I usually have a buffet menu. I know that it's fashionable to mock TV and those who watch it. There was a time when I wouldn't have one in my house. However, at this point in time, the best writing is going into cable TV shows, whereas movies are dumbing down and catering to the mass audience. Cable shows don't have to please a huge demographic, and as a result, some wow stuff. Mad Men, for example.
But to keep it Puna, I hope I'm not the only one here who gets Hi Def, because it's a wonderful thing.
