We had bamboo flooring installed in the whole house in Leilani Estates in 2007 and we are still quite happy with it. (Post & pier new construction.) You can see/feel a bit of cupping in some seasons but it's minor to us. It's a little more prone to this in some areas and it could be partly an istallation issue. We did what we could to limit problems by spreading it out at the house to acclimate for several weeks. We did as much research as we could from the mainland and actually ended up using the Hilo Bamboo oriented strand carbonized product. Mostly cause it was a reasonably priced solid material. My understanding at the time is that there aren't too many factories that make the stuff, in China of course, and that most provide a similar product. We really couldn't find much support or info at the local flooring shops but we did have a good finish carpenter so we went for it. Dogs and small cinder don't bother it but it will scratch when sliding some furniture on it. On the carbonized color a dab of Old English finish blends it right back in.
