Public Statement on U.S. militarism & occupation
#13
Just a minor point perhaps but I have been curious about the deed to my property. The title search showed that my land was deeded by the King to one family before I bought it from them. My escrow was delayed until the original deed was located somewhere in `Iolani Palace. In my case this does not sound like stolen land unless the King stole it from someone. Maybe he did. I don't know.

So it appears to be a false premise that all the land in Hawaii not owned and occupied by people of Native Hawaiian ancestry is stolen land.

But I am curious on the ways that history can be interpreted.

Assume the best and ask questions.
