I must say -- I got some bad chicken once at Foodland - didn't look at the date - immediately obvious the second I took it out of the bag when I got home. {heave heave} I took it back and not only did they give me a refund, they doubled the refund (as is their policy on rotten meat) AND the butcher came out to apologize to me. I blamed myself bc I didn't look at the date (and frankly for not knowing what the date WAS), but they totally blamed themselves for leaving it out there for purchase.
