A friend of mine living in Northern France included me on an email on his evening of March 23rd, saying that they had been told (officially, I assume) that there was a "cloud of radiation" passing over France. Maybe that just meant that radiation levels were higher than usual there. Yeah - I agree that the media is ever ready to hype.
But ultimately the planet is all connected. (I haven't popped the potassium iodide quite yet.) Thanks for the links, Punafish. Hope your friends in Japan are OK.
