You can haul your own cinder from the Bryson's lot in Pahoa (not the quarry). The sign still says Bryson's, even though someone did mention here that they were bought by Sanford. It is $15 for a Ford Ranger size truckload that you shovel yourself. Red or black available, same price for either last time I was there (2 months ago). I use cinder for raised beds and gardening...though will likely use gravel from JAS Glover when my driveway needs it, which will probably be soon since it's taking a beating lately with all the heavy rain.
