For the record, I am in favor of some of this $5.5 million being available for improvements on HPP's oceanfront park land. It would be my preference to see a private non profit group get some of these funds as a grant, make improvements at the shoreline - (restroom, road conditions, picnic tables, etc) and then donate the improvements to HPP or to the County. This would enable the most bang for the buck as a private public partnership (so to speak) and also allow the community to make the improvements they feel they need without hiring some architect for $250,000 to draw a plan.
Anyone remember the county spending $67,000 to design a bus stop? Anybody seen any bus stops?
