Hey everybody. My name is Pete ....my wife, little boy and i are going to be moving to the Puna area in the next couple months (from Guam where we have been for 4 years now). My nomad parents have already been exploring the island by bicycle for a month and have nothing but good things to say (which is rare for the old man ( Smile

... i can't tell you how enthusiastic i am to become an integral part of the community.

A bit about us... I am originally from Michigan where i was an organic farmer for 15 years ...basically since i could walk. I joined the service when i was 17 .... travelled the world. Met my wife Emi about 5 years back in San Diego... had my little boy a year later in Guam. It has been great out here ever since... a lot of lessons learned an misconceptions about island living squashed. It has been a fun ride up to this point. Looking forward to slowing down the pace and starting a sustainable life in Puna.

I am an avid spearfisherman and love to have big fish dinners at my place! Looking forward to talking about politics, permaculture, sustainable living and surviving in these crazy times with everyone. From what i hear, i am going to the right place. Just looking for some contacts to share some thoughts and experiences with in the mean time.
