Hawaii's Accepted Medical Use of Cannabis
#28
While, this article more properly belongs in the current events area of Punaweb, it ties in directly to the above piece, so here it is.

Criminals, selling fraudulent, mortgage backed securities, helped bring down the US and world economy, with almost full impunity. Now, they will receive, "bailouts", at the public expense, of course.

For context...

<http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2012/05/as-an-encore-to-bailing-out-the-big-banks-government-to-backstop-derivativees-clearinghouses-in-the-u-s-and-abroad.html>

"As An Encore to Bailing Out the Big Banks, Government to Backstop Derivativees Clearinghouses … In the U.S. and Abroad

… Which Will Lead to Bailouts and Encourage Even More Fraud

The government has been bailing out the giant, insolvent banks for years. (Many of the bailed out banks are foreign.)

That is preventing the economy from recovering … like countries that have grabbed the bull by the horns...."

Grumpy, yep, this is the system at work. Fortunately, we can still have influence locally and to a small degree, at the State level.

Despite my strong disagreement with some of this theories, (which he stress's are just theories), I think a President Ron Paul would be good for Puna, for a number of reasons. Not the least, would be freeing us from out of control, unpopular and counterproductive, government spending, freeing up capitol for things people really want for their communities.
