Driveways touching the State Road must meet State DOT requirements, and wouldn't you know, those vary depending which DOT office you call...
I'm sure DOT has a plan for more traffic signals, the questions is what their timeline says and/or how they decide when to install. The existing development density is already unsafe for the amount of traffic, so it's just a matter of time until the next accident.
