Yes: ethanol consumes a third of the domestic corn supply, which increases feed prices for cattle farmers. This is one reason that so many dairies are failing in CA.
Also: simple research shows that ethanol is "worse than useless". Track the mileage from a full tank each of "real gas" and ethanol blend. For the tank of ethanol, calculate the mileage with and without the ethanol (that is, take the ethanol out of the equation by reducing the gallons by 10%), and you'll find that the mileage is still worse than straight gas.
Ethanol isn't an "energy policy", it's just another "gift to the wealthy".
