How seriously am I supposed to take this? The wilderness survival instructor is correct of course. People succumb to exposure more than any other cause of death when they get lost and dehydration is a major part of that. Actual starvation is way down on the list, rare in fact in that your water and shelter needs are oddly met while your food needs are not. As for pigs attacking all the time, well, I'd be dead by now if that were true.
