Then they also stated that the amount for their services doesnt include any help once they land in Honolulu (if they had to go through HNL) and that to have their handlers in Honolulu help through the process there it would be hundreds more on top of their fee.
But what got me was they said that typical airfare for one cat would be anywhere from $ 300-350 each? ( Just to Honolulu from Seattle) Ive checked a few airlines now and yes there are fuel charges but like on Alaska if they flew in Baggage its just $ 100 dollars each. And thats when I decided I'm in the wrong Profession LOL Im still waiting on responses to 2 other pet shippers for quotes so we will see how theirs compare.
I believe when we used Island Pet Movers the net cost to us was less than doing it ourselves. We paid them for their help but they got us a lower shipping cost on the airline. Additionally, Hawaiian said they wouldn't take the size kennel we needed, but Island Pet Movers got them to accept it. They did not help us with any of the paperwork because we had already completed that, though they did review it and confirm that it was done correctly.
