Local forest trail and picnic area?

I am trying to coordinate a small get together and looking for something in the area that might have some picnic tables / pavilion and access to a forest trail for some walking or light hiking.

The ideal match is Kalopa State Park, but that is too far a trek for many. Any thoughts on something similar but more local?
