why are most of the houses in hpp single story ?
#6
At this point in my life (I'm 34) I would never purchase a house with stairs. One of the biggest selling point of our home is that it it's single story and if I never need it (due to poor hips) we could easily make it wheelchair accessible.

A lot of older people buy homes here. It would make sense to have a single story home. Younger people like multi story homes for views or space for growing children. Many folks later in life after having those types of homes prefer single story to live in for the rest of their lives.

A lot of folks buying homes these days at least, fall into the later category.
