Emergency Vet Services?
#9
That is also the symptoms of a dog having a seizure. If it is seizures and it doesn't get better in a few hours the seizure activity is still occurring and drugs are needed to stop it.

It is also a symptom of getting into rat/mouse poison, or eating a rat that has eaten poison. Another symptom of that is bleeding gums or blood in the eyes. Sometimes bleeding gums only show by the tarter turning black. Though the bleeding doesn't always occur with rat poison, so is only a possible indicator.

You also describe less common symptoms of leptospirosis which also has a rat vector.

These are difficult to diagnose, because either poisoning or lepto can cause seizures.

Also can be a symptom of biting a cane/buffo toad.

What kind of dog is it? How old? Please keep us updated.
