Vermont passed a law in 2014 requiring GMO labeling on food products. Big business doesn't like the increased costs associated with the law, but they can't afford to stop selling their products in Vermont, which would be even more costly. General Mills, Mars and Kellogg will begin to include the notice "Partially Produced With Genetic Engineering" on their labels nationwide, even in Hawaii, starting July 1, 2016:
