Been watching this thread for a little while. It is kind of interesting. One thing that interests me is that a lot these places share a common bond in Masonry. Advanced Masonry to boot. I wanted to share the original site I pulled a couple of photos from, but I couldn't find it. So I found this one, which isn't too bad. http://davidpratt.info/easter3.htm I was researching earthquake resistant foundations. This stuff came up at some point during the surf. I don't think the history is correct. These were certainly not "primitives." I also feel that humanity is much older than we may be led to believe.
