If you are installing the T-posts, just drill a 1 3/8" or 1 1/2" dia. hole and pound the post in. No need for concrete. If you are running into rock that you can't dig out, there's your foundation. Not that I have done it yet but I intend to build two concrete gate posts by drilling 3/4" holes into the pahoehoe (that stopped me when I first set out to DIG a hole for an Ohia post) and set 1/2" rebar down into the rock with either epoxy or anchor cement, then cast a post around the rebar. If you can secure the rebar into the underlying rock your job is pretty much done. Point being drilling a handful of tiny little holes with a tool designed specifically for the task is way easier than breaking rock like you were on a chain gang.
