quote:Major jumping to conclusions. Where do you get your statement that I'm supporting Law? I noted there is a discussion about Law gearing up in a topic dedicated to Tiffany and titled as such. For the sake of organization and keeping this thread on topic, this official candidate should have his own thread. That is what I said.

Kathy, are you really criticizing Tiff's web comments and yet seeing Tim Law, with his non-existent web presence, as worthy of consideration? It's clear you oppose Tiffany - So don't vote for her, and get over it. Say something positive about someone if that's a possibility for you. If you can only support an elusive, ephemeral candidate who has said and done nothing, that scares me.
I know nothing about him yet. That is why I didn't start a topic for him. I left it to the people in this topic who said good things about him. Interesting that you're jumping on me hard and you say I'm scaring you by supporting Law, but you say nothing to those posters before me who were posting in his favor. Looks like your reaction is really to the Hunt website critique.
I'm focusing on Hunt because she is one of the frontrunners, and it's appropriate to look at the people who are perceived as in the lead. If Law gains a lot of momentum based on no substance, I'd not be happy with that, for sure.
quote:Are you seriously saying that the public can't comment on politicians unless they have something positive to say about them? Really? Hunt is a politician now, by her own choice.
So don't vote for her, and get over it. Say something positive about someone if that's a possibility for you.
I have lots of positive things to say about people, but you wouldn't know that because you don't know me, have never been in a room with me. This is a politics forum, not a "let's praise our politicians" forum.
You said of Law and his candidacy: "an elusive, ephemeral candidate who has said and done nothing," and followed that with the commandment "Say something positive about someone if that's a possibility for you." Do you mean I should follow your example of positive commentary in your own post? [:0]
Talk about scary. You tell me that I can express themselves with a vote, but otherwise shut up? The First Amendment is exactly so that people can talk freely about politicians and issues. Would you like it if I told you to shut up and vote, and not further express your feelings on the candidates?
It is interesting that the Punaweb posters who support Hunt get irate and go into attack mode when she is criticized, considering that type of behavior is one of the main problems people have with this candidate (not just me, if you've paid attention).
I asked a serious question and I asked it in a civil fashion.
I really want to know if voters like the sort of material and focus she is posting on her campaign page, and find it substantial. You could have simply said yes or no and given reasons, rather than jumping on me and insulting me.
I've been meaning to ask, are you from Mendocino? (raised my kids there)
