Perhaps "Agenda driven Roast" would be a better term.

Such is the nature of "American-Style" politics; the two major religious parties are actually identical, but they each wave around slightly different positions on the wedge issues which the public interprets as a "debate" in which their "vote" will actually "matter".

This is a local election, so the issues are smaller.
