Having recently lost my beloved father, also too fast and hard to handle it when it hit, I now understand the acute pain of losing a much loved parent. It didn't and doesn't help me feel better about it that he is out of pain now. He wanted to live for his family, like your mother did.
I guess the way I am dealing with it is saying, well, I don't think it's better now, and it's OK to feel the loss as rough as it really is. But it was going to happen some time. And now it is, and we can't change that. We can only remember and honor the memory, and try to move on with a giant hole in our world.
I understand your wish to fund her laying to rest. I sadly couldn't even afford to publish an obituary for my father. It is tough to not be able to do what you would like for your loved one. Best of luck and support to your family.
