quote:hi pelelani, I'll try to clear up the confusion. This quote from me relates to where Tiffany resides for the 2014 election, where she needs to live in District 5 to qualify for office. The question was raised if she lived in Hilo. No, she doesn't. She was wrong to have an exemption on that property and get a tax break.

I don't think there's any real doubt that Tiffany "resides" in Hawaiian Acres and is registered to vote in District 5, and uses Kurtistown PO as her mailing address (used to file).

What someone at the election office said is that Tiffany voted in the last two elections in District 4 using her husband's business as her voting address. Maybe another source can verify?
Why does the matter? Is this being nit-picky? For me, I have not been able to trust the local elected officials and would like to see someone keep their own house in order and be straight up about any discrepancies.
The Pahoa address relates to where she voted from 2008--2012 IIRC (Sativa knows the exact dates). She did register in District 4 when living in District 5.
But for this current election, she switched back to where she belonged so that she could qualify.
I know it's hard to keep track, but there are different alleged issues for different election years.
Issue that I was talking about above was her candidacy for office residence.
Issue that surfaced afterwards was voter registration fraud.
Sativa, I think you and pelelani are actually on the same page.
