[] That's the spirit! [] First Amendment ... oh yeah, that little thing.
Speaking of promises and flim-flam, I'm seriously upset with the nonsense about putting herself at arm's length from Big Island Chronicle and bringing on Alan McNarie for an unbiased reporting of the political races.
WHERE is Alan's hard-hitting interview of Tiffany? Where is the commentary and analysis this turn of events deserves? Copies of official filings and records? Where has there been a peep from Alan about complaints filed? What if any other Puna candidate were under a police complaint and making the news -- not only front page of the Trib but syndicated coverage all over the country? Would the BIC not be all over it?
I mean, obviously we know Alan isn't covering it because his employer is the candidate in question. So much for the credibility she was given for supposedly separating her candidacy from BIC. []
Of course she publishes her media release on the controversy on her own blog, where she and Alan moderate the comments, and it is far from anything resembling an interview. No Q&A, just her giving a defense that would not stand up to questions.
BIC is really Tiffany's personal blog. It is not an alternative news service. It covers the stories she wants to publish and slant in a certain way.
I'm disappointed in Alan because my good friend who worked with him at HIJ said good things about his integrity.
