I would recommend the pet mover in Honolulu for seven reasons. #1, it might be cheaper, even after their service fee. They have negotiated rates with the airlines. #2. You don't have to drive to Kona, and then subject your pet to 2-3 hours in a car after 6 hours or longer in a plane. #3 It is usually cooler in Hilo, so there is less chance the airline will turn you down at the departure airport for forecasted temps at arrival airport being too high. #4 They will make absolutely sure all the paperwork is in order so there is no chance of your pet being turned around. #5 Better connection options. #6 They can get room for kennels on the aircraft even if they airline tells you there isn't any (refer to #1). #7 They know the vets in HNL personally, and deal with them every day.
