Hawaiian culture and modern community development.
#7
Here's an example of such implimentation.

Would it be possible to establish an area on the Big Island where some Hawaiian people who elect to live a traditional Hawaiian lifestyle can go and establish such, with a chief that presides over that community etc? Perhaps the said community could adopt tourism visitation in a portion of the area where tourist and locals would get the real feel of what Hawaii was like during the time of Captain Cooks arrival with regard to Hawaiian lifestyle and dress etc. Modern medicine etc could still be made available but no electricity etc. allowed.

Financial support and material support could be provided through many avenues.

Something like this could be a desirable experience for not only some Hawaiians but also for outsiders. Even school children could be brought there for part of their education.

Would there be enough Hawaiians who would like to embark on such an endeavour?

It could prove to be a failed experiment in cultural preservation but it could prove to be very successful also.
