Resolution 732 is being introduced in the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Committee at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday November 1st. I wrote this resolution to try and direct Puna relief efforts towards opening access to roads (like Railroad, or alternatives) and recovering lost public highways (in particular, highway 132) in order to spur recovery so people can return to their homes, farms, and properties. This resolution will need support! So please come to the Hilo Chambers or my Pahoa office to give live testimony in support of this effort. You can also submit written testimony to counciltestimony@hawaiicounty.gov - it doesn't hurt to repeat yourself a couple of times! Just be sure to get it in by Tuesday, October 30th.
