Ted, How would you know, newbie??? It was that way and I'm with Kathy. I miss it too. A lot of others were having thanksgiving and other punatic parties. I never made it to Pams house or to even the beach events she hosted. I was really busy with my orchidland lots at the time. Now I'm busy with work and school. Go figure! 
Oh well, it really was good times back then. Don't know why it all changed or how it all changed.... Maybe it's the way it's moderated ... With some that should have been gone long ago. I always thought that Rob was one of the best moderators around. But, sometimes I think things are let go too loosely. But anyway... It is what it is, and it sure as heck isn't what it use to be. Still it's a good place for info and what not, I just think most here a lot more reserved than what was before. Personally, I don't blame em.
