OHA CEO Leaving
#1
No reason for his departure was given, but perhaps more information will become available in the coming days and weeks. This could be an important development given OHA’s public stance on the TMT and proposals for changes in UH’s management of Mauna Kea in the future.

Kamana’opono Crabbe announced Thursday he would not re-apply for his position as CEO of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs when his contract expires June 30.
Last year, Hawaii News Now reported the FBI and state Attorney General’s Office had launched an investigation into allegations of public corruption and misappropriation of public funds at the agency.
It’s not clear where Crabbe is headed next.

Mum’s the word from Maui as well:

Maui OHA Trustee, Carmen Hulu Lindsey, responded to our request for comment saying: “With the end of CEO Kamana’opono Crabbe’s contract with OHA and his decision to move on to a new chapter in his life, I want to sincerely mahalo him for his contributions...
