Drove to Kona and back today for a Costco run. As we were descending on Saddle Road into Kona we saw a blanket of vog from south to north as far as we could see. We couldn't even see the horizon on the ocean it was so bad. I'll never seen Kohala blanketed in vog like that before. Then coming back to Hilo as we were descending from Saddle Road, again we saw vog, but not as thick as it looked on the Kona side.

I'm in Hawaiian Shores. Air quality not bad...so far.
