this coming friday and saturday nights is the Hatsubon celebration at Puna Hongwanji, one of our biggest events of the year. friday the 5th and saturday the 6th. 530pm will be temple service if you have never seen inside, followed by the Taiko drummers and the dances start at 6pm. I will have the boutique open 6-8pm if you want to purchase a vintage kimono or coat. food and all the usual temple goodies. If you have never celebrated the Obon this is the time.
