Snow on Mauna Kea

Thanks for that photo, Carey. For those who are curious, the observatories you can see, from right to left, are CFHT, Gemini and the UH 2.2 meter (in the old days, the UH-88inch). If you look closely, to the left of the UH observatory, you can just make out the top of UKIRT's dome.

More snow this evening, another inch or so. MKSS briefly opened the road to the summit this morning but closed it again after ice started forming and snow began falling again. Monday morning's MKWC forecast should be interesting.
