Senators want state to explore interisland ferry

An inter-island ferry is levels tougher than a ferry that could take passengers from Ewa to downtown Honolulu and from Hawaii Kai to Honolulu. They had one years before but they had no interconnecting anything to go along with it. No parking for when you got on the ferry, no bus at the other end. Other than that, it was a lovely ferry boat. If they'd integrate the ferry and buses it could really help out the highway situation on Oahu.

The ferry between Maui/Lanai/Molokai is pretty much in protected waters. Getting between Maui/Lanai/Molokai and Oahu isn't too much harder but that's open ocean. Between Kauai and Oahu is more open and between Maui and Hawaii can be dangerous.
