How do you clear out your zep spray bottles? What do you run though it after use? Maybe bleach? Have it sit inside the sprayer for 5 minutes then run some of it again and again and let it set for another 5 minutes.

I don't usually have to clear out the Zep sprayers because they usually die before its time to refill. The one that worked like a champion I cleared it out with water. On it's 2nd run it made it about half way through the bottle before it died. I tried rehabilitating the dead ones by running water through. It does clear out the gel but the water squirts out just as pathetically as the gel did before the sprayer died.

I thought about a pump sprayer but the ones I've used in the past don't squirt very far. I need a good 25' range or better to treat the taller trees. When I say my Zep sprayer "dies" I mean it is still pumping stuff out but much less volume and shooting out only 20-30 inches instead of the 20-30 feet it did when new. But thanks for the suggestion I will try removing the nozzle tip from a pump sprayer and doing a test spray with water. I have a few laying around to experiment with.

I emailed the ant lab for sprayer ideas but haven't heard back yet.

While I'm thinking about it one thing I noticed is that the Provaunt didn't seem effective when used on the ground. Many of the ground areas where I sprayed Provaunt but didn't use Siesta still have LFA.
